The Pixfra Mile 3 M335 is a compact thermal imaging monocular built around a 384 × 288 VOx detector with NETD sensitivity of ≤15 mK. Its fast 35 mm F0.9 lens provides 2.5× native magnification and a manufacturer-rated detection range of up to 1,800 m. PIPS 3.0 Pro image processing, a Full HD OLED display, and the integrated 3-in-1 E-Wheel support efficient observation and one-handed operation in the field.
The uncooled VOx detector combines a 384 × 288 resolution with a 12 μm pixel pitch. Its low NETD value helps distinguish subtle temperature differences and retain useful scene detail in rain, fog, dense vegetation, and other low-contrast conditions.
A 50 Hz refresh rate maintains smooth image movement while scanning terrain or following moving animals and other heat sources.
The fast 35 mm F0.9 objective lens provides 2.5× native magnification and a field of view measuring 13.6 × 10.3 m at 100 m. This configuration favors observation at medium and longer distances while retaining enough field of view for systematic terrain scanning.
The manufacturer specifies a detection range of up to 1,800 m. Digital magnification can be increased progressively up to 8× when closer inspection of a selected area is required.
PIPS 3.0 Pro uses adaptive image processing to improve fine detail, reduce visible noise, and maintain a balanced thermal image at both native magnification and higher digital zoom settings.
Additional viewing tools include picture-in-picture, hot spot tracking, defective-pixel correction, and six selectable color palettes for adapting the image to the environment and observation task.
The integrated control wheel combines focus adjustment, digital zoom, and menu navigation. This allows the primary functions to be operated with one hand without repeatedly changing grip or searching for separate controls in the dark.
The thermal image is viewed through a 0.49" OLED display with a resolution of 1920 × 1080 px. The large, high-resolution screen provides a clear viewing image and supports comfortable observation over extended periods.
The Mile 3 M335 can capture still images and record video with sound through its integrated microphone. Files are stored in the 64 GB internal memory and can also be reviewed directly on the monocular.
Built-in Wi-Fi allows the device to connect to the Pixfra Outdoor mobile app for live image viewing and media sharing with compatible smartphones.
The monocular operates on one replaceable rechargeable 18650 battery. Two batteries are included—one installed in the device and one spare—allowing the power source to be exchanged quickly in the field.
Each battery provides up to approximately 5.5 hours of operation under the manufacturer’s specified test conditions, for a combined runtime of up to 11 hours. The USB-C port also supports charging and operation from a compatible external power source.
The magnesium-alloy housing combines low weight with durability for regular field use. Anti-slip surface sections support a secure one-handed grip, while the compact profile makes the monocular easy to carry in a pocket or equipment pouch.
The IP67-rated construction protects the device against dust and temporary water immersion and supports operation in both freezing winter conditions and hot weather.
