In the Style of AR15

The DD4 RIII 16" is an AR15 style rifle designed to meet the needs of both right-handed and left-handed shooters. It is primarily intended for tactical and defensive use, but it also excels in popular dynamic shooting sports such as IPSC, IDPA, and others. 

Excellent Functional Features 

The DD4 RIII 16" features a fully ambidextrous lower receiver, allowing the shooter to operate the bolt catch with either the right or left hand. It also has an ambidextrous fire selector and magazine catch. When handling these controls, neither right-handed nor left-handed shooters need to remove their dominant hand from the pistol grip. 

Handguard According to SOCOM Requirements 

The RIS III handguard uses a mounting system with six screws. The mounting system remains the same as in the RIS II handguard, which was developed to meet SOCOM's needs. In the RIS III, the four Picatinny rails were replaced with seven sides of M-LOK slots. The use of the M-LOK system reduced the weight of the handguard, and consequently, the overall weight of the weapon. There is still the option to attach an M203 grenade launcher.

The DD4 RIII 16" rifle is equipped with a cold hammer forged Government Profile barrel with a hard chrome-lined bore and chamber. It has a mid-length gas system (carbine length), which is known for a smoother recoil feel. Like other rifles in the AR15 system, the DD4 RIII 16" is equipped standard with an ergonomic Daniel Defense stock and pistol grip.
