The Ruger LCR is a lightweight .38 Special revolver designed for everyday concealed carry, combining low weight, reliable operation, and practical recoil management in a compact platform. The patented trigger system delivers a smooth double-action pull, while the Hogue Tamer grip improves control and shooting comfort.
The LCR is built around a monolithic frame made from 7000-series aircraft-grade aluminum, helping keep overall weight low without compromising durability for daily carry. The design combines metal components with a polymer fire control housing that contributes to lower weight and helps reduce perceived recoil during firing.
The patented friction-reducing cam system delivers a smooth and consistent trigger pull without noticeable stacking during the stroke. This results in improved trigger control and a more predictable shooting feel.
The Hogue Tamer grip is designed to help distribute recoil more effectively into the hand for increased shooting comfort. Its ergonomic shape supports a secure grip and better overall control. The grip can also be replaced with alternative variants to better match individual preferences or hand size.
The stainless steel cylinder features a durable PVD finish for increased resistance to everyday wear. Deep fluting reduces weight while maintaining structural strength. The pinned front sight can be easily replaced if needed.
