Discoveryopt® MS 6–24×42 AOAC SFP MOA-L Riflescope

The Discoveryopt MS 6–24×42 AOAC SFP MOA-L Riflescope combines a 6–24× magnification range with a 42 mm objective lens and an illuminated MOA-L reticle in the second focal plane. The adjustable objective provides parallax correction from 10 yd to infinity. Elevation and windage adjustments use 0.25 MOA clicks, while locking turrets help prevent unintended changes. The riflescope also features a 1″ / 25.4 mm main tube, nitrogen-purged construction, and an IP66 rating.

Adjustable Objective Parallax

Parallax is adjusted using a ring on the objective housing rather than a side-focus control. The adjustment range extends from 10 yd, approximately 9.1 m, to infinity, allowing the image focus and parallax setting to be matched to the target distance.

Illuminated SFP MOA-L Reticle

The MOA-L reticle is located in the second focal plane, so its apparent size remains constant as magnification changes. Red illumination with six brightness settings improves reticle visibility against dark or low-contrast backgrounds. The illumination is powered by a CR2032 battery.

0.25 MOA Adjustments and Locking Turrets

Each elevation and windage click corresponds to 0.25 MOA, approximately 7.3 mm at 100 m. Both adjustment axes provide a total travel range of 60 MOA. The turrets can be locked after adjustment to reduce the risk of accidental movement during handling or transport.

6–24× Magnification Range

The 6–24× magnification range provides a wider field of view at the lower end and greater target detail at higher magnification. The field of view ranges from 20.5 to 5.2 ft at 100 yd, equivalent to approximately 6.2–1.6 m at 100 yd. Exit pupil diameter ranges from 6.8 to 1.7 mm, while eye relief is approximately 78–70 mm.

1″ Main Tube and IP66 Rating

The riflescope has a 1″ / 25.4 mm main tube, a 42 mm objective lens, and an external objective housing diameter of 51 mm. It measures 362 mm in length and weighs 553 g. The nitrogen-purged construction helps prevent internal fogging, while the IP66 rating confirms protection against dust and powerful water jets. The manufacturer rates this model for 5.56 NATO recoil.
