Protection Group® PGD U-line Level IV ballistic side plate

The PGD Level IV ceramic ballistic side plate from the Danish company Protection Group combines strength, durability and renowned Nordic quality. The plate meets US NIJ standards at level 4, the highest of the basic levels.

Made of innovative material

The plate is made of Monolithic SIC, which means there is a large piece of ceramic on the front of the ballistic hard armor plate, the lightest ceramic solution from the Protection Group workshop. The performance of the Monolithic SIC solution is higher than traditionally used ceramic plates, especially in extreme temperatures (on both sides). At the same time, the plate remains very light.

Tested for various calibers

The plate can stop bullets up to 7.62×63 AP (30-06 Springfield) and the effect of AK47, SS109 / M855, M80 and the like. Specifically, it protects against the following risks: 7.62×51 NATO, M80 (NEW level 3 0101.06), 7.62×39 MSC, AK47, 5.56×45 NATO, SS109 / M855 and 7.62×63 AP / .30-06 Springfield. The Protection Group ESAPI plate is self-contained and does not require soft armor behind it.

Increased impact protection

The plate is covered with a small layer of foam that protects the ceramic when the plate is hit. At the same time, it comes with a 100% water-repellent Cordura nylon cover, which protects the sheet from water, oil and other potential sources of contamination.
