Combining NIJ IIIA, DEA-FBI Ballistic Helmet Protocol, and VPAM 3 compliance, the helmet delivers advanced ballistic protection while maintaining a lightweight, mission-ready configuration. Its drill-free shell design preserves ballistic integrity while supporting the integration of modern accessories and protective components.

Drill-Free Shell Design

The AMP-1 X utilizes a proprietary mounting system that eliminates the need for through-holes in the ballistic shell. By preserving the integrity of the helmet structure, the design helps maintain consistent ballistic performance and reduces the risk of secondary fragmentation associated with traditional drilled mounting solutions. The threaded attachment system also simplifies maintenance and enhances long-term durability.

Verified Ballistic Performance

The helmet meets NIJ IIIA, DEA-FBI Ballistic Helmet Protocol, and VPAM 3 protection requirements. According to the manufacturer, testing resulted in zero projectile penetration and average backface deformation values below 8 mm. This combination of protection standards and impact performance provides enhanced protection while preserving mobility and operational effectiveness.

Lightweight Configuration

In the High Cut configuration, the helmet weighs approximately 1450 grams, including rails and internal suspension components. The reduced weight helps minimize fatigue during prolonged wear without compromising protective performance.

Rapid Reconfiguration with Speed Connect System

The integrated Speed Connect System enables compatible visors, mandible guards, and additional protective components to be attached or removed without tools. Users can quickly adapt the helmet configuration to changing operational requirements without removing the helmet.

Standard equipment includes CMR-1 accessory rails, a Unity Tactical NVG shroud, bungee retention system, CPP-2 comfort padding, and the CRS-2 retention system. Depending on mission requirements, the helmet can be further configured with hook-and-loop panels, communication adapters, counterweights, battery pouches, and additional accessories.

Comfort for Extended Operational Use

The interior incorporates removable impact and comfort pads combined with the CRS-2 four-point retention system and an adjustable dial-fit mechanism. The One Size Fits All design simplifies equipment management while accommodating a broad range of users.
