Busch PROtective® AMP-1 E Ballistic Helmet

Tested Beyond NIJ IIIA+ Requirements

The AMP-1 E meets NIJ IIIA+ ballistic protection requirements and undergoes additional testing designed to evaluate performance under demanding operational conditions. According to the manufacturer, testing includes environmental exposure, blunt-impact resistance, and backface deformation measurements following ballistic impact. Average backface deformation values remain below 15 mm, helping reduce the risk of injury caused by impact energy transfer.

Aramid Fiber Ballistic Shell

The helmet shell is manufactured from aramid fibers, a proven material widely used in ballistic protection systems. The construction provides protection against common handgun threats and fragmentation hazards while maintaining a favorable balance between durability, weight, and wearer comfort.

Ready for Mission-Specific Equipment

Integrated Picatinny accessory rails on both sides of the helmet provide mounting interfaces for lights, cameras, communication equipment, and other accessories. Depending on the configuration, the helmet can also be equipped with an NVG shroud and hook-and-loop panels for attaching night vision devices, battery packs, counterweights, and identification markers.

Speed Connect System (SCS)

The Speed Connect System allows compatible visors to be attached or removed quickly without tools. This enables rapid transitions between protection configurations and simplifies adaptation to changing operational requirements.

Designed for Extended Wear

The interior features removable impact and comfort pads combined with a four-point retention system and an adjustable dial-fit suspension. This arrangement allows precise fit adjustment while providing stable helmet retention when used with additional equipment.
