The Antreg SD ambidextrous charging handle is designed for AR-15 platform rifles and provides smooth, reliable operation from either side of the firearm. The SD (Suppressor Dedicated) version incorporates an optimized gas-deflecting design that helps redirect excess gas away from the shooter's face, making it particularly well suited for suppressed rifles. Enlarged operating latches, hardened steel pivot pins, stainless steel springs, and an enhanced hard-anodized finish ensure dependable performance under demanding conditions.
The SD version features a redesigned body with improved sealing surfaces and angled gas vents that help redirect excess gas back into the upper receiver instead of toward the shooter's face. This reduces gas blowback, which is commonly encountered when shooting with a suppressor and increased back pressure.
Large mirrored latches allow the charging handle to be operated comfortably from either side of the rifle. The design accommodates both right- and left-handed shooters while improving weapon manipulation during shoulder transitions, malfunction clearance, and administrative handling. The enlarged controls also provide a secure grip when wearing gloves.
The charging handle is machined from aircraft-grade aluminum and finished with an enhanced hard-anodized coating that is approximately twice as thick as the finish used on the standard Antreg charging handle. High-stress pivot points are reinforced with hardened steel pins, while stainless steel springs ensure smooth, consistent operation over extended use.
Every charging handle is manufactured entirely by Antreg in Vyškov, Czech Republic. Each unit is laser engraved with a unique serial number for individual identification and traceability.
