Do you also think that gun manufacturers can no longer surprise us with anything new in the field of polymer pistols with a striker mechanism? The gentlemen from Slovenian Arex wanted to prove the opposite, and therefore released an updated version of their self-loading pistol Arex Delta Gen.2 OR with many interesting improvements.

Safety First

The Arex Delta Gen.2 is indeed a double-action pistol with a striker mechanism. Pulling the slide partially cocks the striker spring. This Striker Double Action system is inherently safer than a single-action fully cocked striker. All this while maintaining a smooth trigger operation and short reset. However, this is not the only element that contributes to the safety of carrying the Arex Delta Gen.2 pistol with a round in the chamber.

Triple Drop Safety

Because any mechanical safety can fail, the engineers at Arex added an advanced safety system to the Delta Gen.2, which they called Triple Drop Safety, and includes a trigger safety, striker block, and drop safety. This system ensures that the Arex Delta Gen.2 will not fire unintentionally under any circumstances. Delta Gen.2 is also equipped with a loaded chamber indicator on the top edge of the slide and a cocking indicator visible at the front of the slide.

Reliability in a Modern Attire

You need to rely on your weapon under all circumstances. It must function flawlessly even in the most adverse conditions. The Arex Delta Gen.2 builds on the proven, now almost legendary reliability of the Arex Zero 1 pistols and takes it a step higher. The internal extractor, internal slide catch, and system for quick disassembly eliminate numerous potential entry points for dirt or foreign objects into the weapon.

Grip Without Compromises

Arex took into account numerous user remarks about the previous model and changed the grip texture. Now Arex Delta Gen.2 has a dotted texture similar to sandpaper on all four sides of the grip with smooth edges, so the grip doesn’t snag on clothing. The expanded magazine well, or magwell, also aids in quick magazine changes.

Wide Customization Options

The weapon's frame now has a multi-groove Picatinny rail, allowing an even wider range of accessories to be attached. Four interchangeable grip inserts help fit the grip to any hand. The slide is ribbed at the front and rear, the slide catch is ambidextrous, and the magazine release button can be mounted on the left or right side of the grip. The OR variant already includes preparation for mounting pistol optics, and thanks to the included adapters, the range of brands and models that can be mounted on the Arex Delta Gen.2 is incredibly wide.

Pocket Tactical

The Arex Delta Gen. 2M Tactical is a compact-sized model. Compared to the standard version, it has an extended barrel with an M13.5×1LH thread for mounting a sound suppressor or other muzzle device, high sights for use with a sound suppressor, an extended magazine release button, and preparation for mounting a collimator.

One Model, Three Sizes

The Arex Delta Gen.2 pistols are sold in three sizes, marked with the letters M, L, and X. The classic full-size is designated by the letter L. The compact size is marked with the letter M. The crossover model, which is a compromise between the two, uses the slide and barrel length of the compact and the full-size pistol grip, and is marked X.
