The Jack Wooden AK47 self-loading rifle is a refined interpretation of the legendary Kalashnikov, chambered in the lighter 5.56×45 mm / .223 Rem caliber. This combination delivers a remarkably stable and controlled shooting experience. Its classic wooden stock and handguard evoke the aesthetics of traditional AKM rifles while showcasing WBP®’s exceptional craftsmanship.
The original AK-47, designed by Mikhail Kalashnikov, was adopted by the Soviet Army in 1949. Its simplicity, durability, and limited number of moving parts made it one of the most reliable and widely respected rifles in the world.
By the late 1950s, Kalashnikov made key improvements to address limitations in the original design. A major innovation was the transition from a milled to a stamped steel receiver and carrier group, reducing weight while maintaining strength and reliability. This updated design is faithfully reflected in this WBP® model.
WBP® is a family-owned firearms manufacturer based in Poland, known for its tradition of quality, innovation, and in-house production. Every rifle is made under one roof—from the first screw to the final piece of wood—ensuring full control over quality. Around 90% of production is exported to the USA, where WBP® rifles are praised for their build quality and performance. All internal components meet exacting tolerance standards.
