In 2019, HS Produkt (under the patronage of Springfield Armory for the US market) introduced the micro-compact pistol with a polymer frame, H11, laying the foundation for a successful line of pistols for everyday carry. The HS Produkt H11 pistols thus became one of the first true competitors to the P365 model from SIG.
In 2022, the weapon's design was updated. It was equipped with a higher-capacity magazine, and the slide was modified to allow for the mounting of pistol reflex sights. This enhanced series of H11 pistols was given the designation Pro.
The HS Produkt H11 pistol (designated as Hellcat by Springfield Armory) was declared the pistol of the year 2020 by Guns & Ammo magazine and also received the NASGW-POMA award for the best new pistol of 2020.
Thanks to the materials used and its micro-compact dimensions, the HS Produkt H11 pistol is incredibly lightweight. You will hardly notice it during all-day carry. However, with its double-stack magazine, it provides sufficient firepower to handle any potential crisis situation.
The HS Produkt H11 pistol is equipped with an innovative magazine release button exchange system. This makes the weapon comfortable for handling by both right-handed and left-handed users.
The pistol utilizes a pre-cocked striker mechanism and is equipped with two safeties: a trigger safety lever and a striker block. Additionally, the HS Produkt H11 pistol features a chamber load indicator for even higher safety.
The semi-automatic HS Produkt H11 pistol has a firearm frame with a mounting rail, a rounded trigger guard, and features a prominent beavertail for such a small pistol. Together with excellent ergonomics, this significantly enhances weapon control during shooting. The pistol’s slide has aggressive serrations at the front and rear to ensure firmer and safer handling when racking.
The company was founded as IM Metal in 1991 in Croatia. At the beginning of 2001, following the success of HS2000 pistols in the world market, the company changed its name to HS Produkt. In 2007, HS Produkt began collaborating with Springfield Armory. Thanks to this strategic cooperation, the company quickly became the largest importer of handguns to the US market.
Founders and co-owners of HS Produkt, Ivan Žabčić and Marko Vuković, are both mechanical engineers. Vuković is the chief designer of most weapons and also has combat experience as a veteran of the Croatian War of Independence, in which he was wounded twice. In 2016, HS Produkt was one of the contestants applying to replace the FAMAS rifles in the French army.
