Aguila® was founded in 1961 and their products are produced by Industrias Tecnos, S.A. de C.V. They are one of the largest producers of rimfire, handgun and shotshell ammunition worldwide. While originally resided in Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico, they now has factories in both Mexico and Texas, USA. They are one of the leading producers of ammunition in Latin America.
Aguila® is one of the leading producers of rimfire, handgun and shotshell ammunition in Latin America and worldwide. Their credo is innovation, thorough technology testing and high-quality components that guarantee shooters a high level of competitiveness.
Aguila® is behind the solution Minishell®, which is actually a shotgun ammo containing 11 separate slugs. According to the manufacturer, this solution is suitable for both sports shooting as well as for household defense. Minishell® doubles the capacity of the shotguns and is compatible with most standard shotguns. However, this is not the only innovation.
Another one is, for example, the fact that they are one of the few manufacturers who use a 72 -meter -high tower for dropping and gravitational formation of their bullets. And finally, the manufacturer gets their own raw materials for production (with the exception of gunpowder) and produces all components internally.
Aguila® ammunition is popular among armed forces around the world, and currently the consumable material of this Mexican manufacturer is used in more than 45 countries. Some Aguila® ammunition was even developed for the needs of the Mexican army and then they began to be sold to civilian recreational shooters.
Since 1961, ie. more than 60 years, Aguila® has been devoted to the development and production of ammunition for self -defense, recreational shooting and hunting, as well as for police and military units. For example, they are one of the largest manufacturers of rimfire ammunition. On the importan United States market, Aguila® has been only for a decade, but during that time, the company has managed to make an important place with many awards.
Aguila® also organize the Aguila Cup, a show of shooting skills, which is held under the name Copa Aguila in the Mexican city of Guadalajara and participates every year more than 500 shooters from Latin America, Spain or the United States. A similar event under the name Aguila Cup takes place in the United States. Here, however, Aguila sponsors other events and organizations, including scouts or local shooting competitions, especially in Texas.
